Join us for our SECOND trunk show with AMiRA. We’ll be showing her line through the weekend 4/22-4/24. It’s so lovely to have miss Amira back. Come down and meet the amazing artist Friday night, drink some Champagne with us, see her exclusive pieces that she only is showing here at Little Things first!! I’ve heard from a little bird that there are going to be some OUT OF THIS WORLD pieces. Color, details, texture, metals.

Amira’s Jewelry Collection consists of handmade original designs using Macrame techniques with authentic South and Latin American string and various alternative materials, such as canvas, vinyl, leather, paint, collage, metals, stone, glass and ceramic beads.

Her innovative canvas line includes hand painted and cut canvas fragments sewn together. With a keen sense of color and an interest in textile design, Amira creates bold, and refreshing pieces of jewelry that may be worn casual and dressed up.

April’s First Thursday event is Ocean themed and will be showcasing some of the Pacific NW’s coolest artists.

Featured Artists Include:

Alli Bratt
Daniel DeLeon
Jason Edwards Davis
Myah Bailey
Shannon Larson
and More

This is the first show that I, Cory… shop husband,  have curated for Little Things and am very excited to be Promoting the show for the SurfRider Foundation. I have always thought that they are one of the best non-profits around because the world has no greater wealth than that which comes from the ocean.

A good portion of the proceeds are going to the SurfRider Foundation – Portland Chapter to help them with their efforts in keeping the worlds water clean.

The show will start First Thursday April 5th, 2012 and conclude on April 30th, 2012.

There will be a silent auction held on the Fifth of April.

Special guests from SurfRider will be on hand to share the awesomeness that is their cause.

If you want to donate to the cause or have a piece of art that you would like to include in the silent auction feel free to contact us directly by March 30th. Space is limited.

Fall Fall Fall!!!

Now that Halloween has officially passed by. I feel like it is really fall now. I checked off the corn maze, a squash dinner, a mini trip to New York… (Monday I’ll write about that amazing adventure!!) it’s all been quite the fall leaf whirlwind the last week and a half.

Buuuut in the last week Little Things has gotten a new line and some lovely restocks of some of our other lines.

Paper, Four, Water is the brain child of miss Alaina Mickes. Genius!! They are mini piñatas!! Full of trinkets and confetti they would be great for someone with some patients or fun for someone lacking it. You can open them or leave them be. Right now I have some lovely rose piñata broaches and some Oregon with glitter hearts and bikes ordainment (YES that’s right that time of year is quickly approaching)

AMiRA brought her amazing new goods. She’s been infusing some metal work and painted canvas with her traditional waxed string macramé pieces. She also dropped off some amazing dainty friendship bracelets, and macrame pieces in a leather cuff. Her new metal line is not only jewelry but has all the elements of a piece of gallery art adorned on you. <3 Loving them!!

iswas+willbe’s Rex and Telle stopped in on Halloween telling me about their adventures from the weekend, it included a walking giant panda bear. That’s why I love Halloween!! Anywhoo they also brought in some amazing pieces as always ;) This is defiantly a line to be on the look out for. They’ve been featured in a ton of blogs lately. Modern futuristic meets tribal nature. Vintage sequence, or vintage African trade beads all in color pallets to rock your world.

Also we got in on Saturday a little restock of the BFF PB&J <3 (that’s best friends forever peanut butter and jelly with hearts) from FIA PDX. Hand stitched with love felt characters that just make you SMILE, just like their maker Sofia.

We also got a restock of some Birds of Oregon‘s Robin. She brought in some of her longer chained lockets. Some geometrical, some cute forest animals, and some lovely poppies. Inspired by life around her I can hardly way what she creates next. Robin’s been at Occupy Portland since the beginning. It was really amazing to hear how it’s been going for her, and what she feels is going to happen because of it. It’s amazing that she’s dedicating herself and time to such a stand.

See tons of things in the last few days!! Aaaaand this week we are doing a whole 5 days straight of blogging. A little countdown to Little Thing’s ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY on FRIDAY!!
