Alli Bratt
Daniel DeLeon

and More

This is the first show that I, Cory… shop husband,  have curated for Little Things and am very excited to be Promoting the show for the SurfRider Foundation. I have always thought that they are one of the best non-profits around because the world has no greater wealth than that which comes from the ocean.

A good portion of the proceeds are going to the SurfRider Foundation – Portland Chapter to help them with their efforts in keeping the worlds water clean.

The show will start First Thursday April 5th, 2012 and conclude on April 30th, 2012.

There will be a silent auction held on the Fifth of April.

Special guests from SurfRider will be on hand to share the awesomeness that is their cause.

If you want to donate to the cause or have a piece of art that you would like to include in the silent auction feel free to contact us directly by March 30th. Space is limited.

Whew February went by so quickly!! Well we’re excited about kicking off March by presenting the very talented and very lovely Miss Allison J. Bratt in a solo show featuring her amazing Totems and other works adorning the walls at Little Things.

Working mostly in water-ba…sed media, Allison’s style is primarily very intricate, detailed, and abstract, often borrowing shapes and lines from the natural world.

As a lover of the environment and animals, both human and non-human, Allison’s aim is to tread lightly on this planet and hopefully leave it in a better state than she found it. She pushes herself to be more aware of our connection to everything and her impact on all aspects of life.

Originally from San José, CA, Miss Bratt currently resides in Portland, OR. She obtained her BFA in Painting in 2007 from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Continuing to paint and draw, Allison searches for new ways to inspire others and herself by being involved in the art community, teaching art lessons to kids, and continuing to push herself conceptually.

Please join us for our Opening Reception for our month long show of Allison Bratt’s works Thursday the 1st of March at 6pm. We’ll be serving some snacks, a bit of vino, and some hot chocolate to keep you warm juuust in case ;)

We are back in action for our First Thursday events!!

This month we are featuring the LOVELY Renee Hartig. It’s quite an honor having Renee in the store. Her landscape paintings are quite a site. A blend of the serene with so much energy represented.

“I believe a truly… realistic portrayal of these landscapes would include a visual representation of the auditory disturbance we take for granted. This to me seems a much more realistic portrayal of the scene than falsely representing the landscape in a more peaceful manner.”

From some of her larger works… “Flood Plains” 40inx60in to some of her tiniest of works. We’ll have a little bit of everything for her solo show here at Little Things. The show will run until the end of January. Stop by and say hello and meet Miss Renee. She is darling as well as talented. ;)

You can check out some of her pieces here…

We’ll be having some wine, hot cider, and a little bit of snacks. Our lovely neighbor, Gigantic, is featuring the full VS. Show featuring 12 amazing artists.
