Now that Halloween has officially passed by. I feel like it is really fall now. I checked off the corn maze, a squash dinner, a mini trip to New York… (Monday I’ll write about that amazing adventure!!) it’s all been quite the fall leaf whirlwind the last week and a half.
Buuuut in the last week Little Things has gotten a new line and some lovely restocks of some of our other lines.
Paper, Four, Water is the brain child of miss Alaina Mickes. Genius!! They are mini piñatas!! Full of trinkets and confetti they would be great for someone with some patients or fun for someone lacking it. You can open them or leave them be. Right now I have some lovely rose piñata broaches and some Oregon with glitter hearts and bikes ordainment (YES that’s right that time of year is quickly approaching)
AMiRA brought her amazing new goods. She’s been infusing some metal work and painted canvas with her traditional waxed string macramé pieces. She also dropped off some amazing dainty friendship bracelets, and macrame pieces in a leather cuff. Her new metal line is not only jewelry but has all the elements of a piece of gallery art adorned on you. <3 Loving them!!
iswas+willbe’s Rex and Telle stopped in on Halloween telling me about their adventures from the weekend, it included a walking giant panda bear. That’s why I love Halloween!! Anywhoo they also brought in some amazing pieces as always This is defiantly a line to be on the look out for. They’ve been featured in a ton of blogs lately. Modern futuristic meets tribal nature. Vintage sequence, or vintage African trade beads all in color pallets to rock your world.
Also we got in on Saturday a little restock of the BFF PB&J <3 (that’s best friends forever peanut butter and jelly with hearts) from FIA PDX. Hand stitched with love felt characters that just make you SMILE, just like their maker Sofia.
We also got a restock of some Birds of Oregon‘s Robin. She brought in some of her longer chained lockets. Some geometrical, some cute forest animals, and some lovely poppies. Inspired by life around her I can hardly way what she creates next. Robin’s been at Occupy Portland since the beginning. It was really amazing to hear how it’s been going for her, and what she feels is going to happen because of it. It’s amazing that she’s dedicating herself and time to such a stand.
See tons of things in the last few days!! Aaaaand this week we are doing a whole 5 days straight of blogging. A little countdown to Little Thing’s ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY on FRIDAY!!
Leela walked in the door at Little Things today and brought in some of her lovely lovely LeeMo origami earrings!! Bright, fun, sassy, and bold. These are going to rock your little ear lobes!! Aaaand all the findings are all sterling so they won’t rock your lobes in a bad way.
Her hand made creations are made with love in Portland, some were even made on a recent trip to Hawaii and Japan. Also available at Little Things are her limited addition laser cut bamboo earrings. Light and organic these babies can go from work to happy hour to brunch the next morning
All of Leela’s creations she dropped off are absolutely beautiful. Modern, geometric with the old origami delicate folds. The length of the chain from the lobe to the paper goodies are perfect for framing YOUR darling face. All the origami diamonds are sealed but are not meant to be drenched in water. They will become sad if you do this to them.
Enjoy the pictures of the new goods down below, and of course you can view them in person at Little Things 1720 NW Lovejoy. Just a reminder we’re open Monday-Friday 11am-6pm and Saturday 12pm-5pm. See you soon!!
So much has been going on in the life of Little Things including a fantastic ONE YEAR anniversary to be planned (November 11, 2011.) In the crazyness of life we’ve gotten the chance to take in MANY awesome talented Portland artists. We also have a little ONLINE STORE that you can check out here too.
I also am vowing to do a little post every week. I know I know I’ve promised that before. Those were all meaningful promises that just so happened got plowed over by crazy life. Now I’m introducing crazy life meet Little Things blog, now one can not trample over the other (glares at crazy life)
